The Ones Who Remain
The worst thing about mourning,
The loss of a friend to suicide,
Is the understanding,
That it actually is,
A possible way out;
The realization,
That someone you ate and laughed with;
Actually took their lives;
Leaves you with some comfort;
That you are not alone;
And that could push you over the edge,
That could be the one thing;
That actually gives you the courage,
To take your own life;
And free yourself.
