Twenty Twenty
It was the turn of a new decade,
And none of us had experienced anything like it;
Fridays like most days,
Were spent indoors;
The four walls that were always home,
Now felt like this cell,
We had been building our whole lives;
We now craved the comfort of our regular lives;
And the uncertainty about it,
Drove most of us to the edge;
We needed an escape,
That no drug could ever fulfill.
